Advertising Sales Executive

What You’ll Do
You will help build the ad sales engine for one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports media companies, driving toward $250,000+ in annual revenue while laying the foundation for sustained growth. You’ll own targeted outbound outreach to national media buyers and regional advertisers through email, LinkedIn, and phone, actively managing a disciplined pipeline in HubSpot and participating in RFP opportunities. You’ll scale a geo-targeted ad sales program to unlock local and regional revenue, refine outreach strategies through data-driven optimization, and collaborate on compelling sales materials—including decks, case studies, and campaign announcements—to strengthen conversion. By staying ahead of digital advertising and sports media trends, you’ll deepen industry relationships, expand our active advertiser base, and position our platform as a high-value partner for brands looking to reach athletes and sports families.

Core Responsibilities
- Drive Ad Sales: Conduct targeted outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone to engage media buyers.
- Establish Geo-targeted Ad Sales Program: Expand local and regional ad sales opportunities via a scalable offering for regional businesses.
- Refine & Optimize Outreach: Track outreach activity in HubSpot, analyze results, and adjust strategies to improve conversion and efficiency.
- Create Engaging Ad Sales Materials: Collaborate on impactful decks, case studies, and announcements to strengthen prospect engagement.
- Market Research: Build industry knowledge on digital advertising and sports media trends to enhance outreach, relationship-building, and offers.
Must-Haves in a Candidate
- Proven Experience: 2+ Years of Relevant Sales Experience in outbound sales, digital advertising, sponsorship sales, or a similar revenue-generating role with measurable results.
- High-Motor Self-Starter: Proactive outbound mindset — comfortable building pipeline through consistent email, LinkedIn, and phone outreach.
- Strong Communicator: Clear, persuasive written and verbal skills with the ability to build credibility quickly with prospects.
- Organized Sales Operator: Keeps clean records, manages follow-ups, and tracks activity consistently in a CRM (HubSpot or similar).
- Resilient + Coachable: Handles rejection well, stays motivated, and actively applies feedback to improve results.
- Curious + Growth-Minded: Asks smart questions, learns industries quickly, and looks for ways to improve messaging and strategy.
- Basic Sales & Data Awareness: Understands core sales metrics (pipeline, conversion, activity levels) and uses results to adjust outreach.
Nice-to-Haves in a Candidate
- Experience selling digital advertising or media-related products
- Background in sports media
- Familiarity with geo-targeted sales strategies
- Experience creating sales decks, pitches, or case studies
- Existing relationships with media buyers

- Competitive Compensation. Targeted base salary is $50,000 to $60,000, along with an uncapped commission structure based on revenue brought in. If we win, you win. The starting salary will depend on the skills and applicable experience you bring to this role.
